You definitely need to take the time to check out his work if you have not before, you can find it here
Anyway….
How can a sexy marketing manager join forces with an Alpha Centauri male in Armani to save the planet-using hairspray, a Mont Blanc pen, and rock n' roll?
Easy...
She's Touched by an Alien
Marketing manager Katherine "Kitty" Katt steps into the middle of what appears to be a domestic dispute turned ugly. And it only gets uglier when the man turns into a winged monster, straight out of a grade-Z horror movie, and goes on a killing spree. Though Kitty should probably run away, she springs into action to take the monster down.
In the middle of the chaos a handsome hunk named Jeff Martini appears, sent by the "agency" to perform crowd control. He's Kitty's kind of guy, no matter what planet he's from. And from now on, for Kitty, things are going to be sexy, dangerous, wild, and out of this world.
Did you like the Men in Black movies? Enjoy reading about kick ass heroines who are smart enough to think their way out of impossible situations? Ever fantasize about working with a group of male models? If so, Touched by an Alien is right up your alley.
We first meet Kitty coming out of the courthouse, having just wrapped up her civic duty. She encounters what appears to be a domestic dispute which quickly turns into a crazy nightmare, complete with a knife-throwing winged psychopath. She quickly comes to terms with her inner (and unknown) crime fighter, pulls out her handy dandy pen, and takes the creature down like a pro.
Enter the ever so delectable Jeff Martini, an Alpha Centauri alien with enough smex appeal to stop anyone dead in their tracks (I’ll take him shaken OR stirred). Kitty soon finds herself sucked into a real life version of Men in Black (frequently making MIB jokes), full with crazy “fugly” monsters, a unique assortment of weapons, and impossible predicaments.
I absolutely adore Kitty; she is witty, intelligent, quick to crack a joke, and yet still a believable and fun character. She makes some mistakes along the way, but that just makes her that much more loveable. Sure there are times when she seems to know things out of the blue, and she sure as hell takes the total 360 of her life in strides, but what super woman wouldn’t?
Martini was such a great “alpha male” character; but still somehow sensitive (probably due to his emphatic powers), and totally supportive. He enjoys watching Kitty really grow into this super agent, and the heat between the two really steams the pages! I enjoyed unraveling the AC secrets, and I enjoy Koch incorporating a real “human” reason for the aliens being on Earth.
The supporting characters are also hilarious and filled with enough personality to support their own stories. The gay, human, ex-Calvin Kline model who manages to become Kitty’s major support and her hilarious and over-protective parents who are constantly butting in and refusing to let their little girl grow up provide some great comedic relief throughout the story.
If your looking for a great light hearted read that will make you crack a smile and occasionally laugh out loud, you definitely need to pick this book up.
All in all, I give Touched by an Alien 4 out of 5 Fuglies!

Great Review. I really loved this book as well. I laughed out loud a few times which made my husband give me the "I-married-a-crazy-girl" face but it was totally worth it.
I can't wait to get my hands on Alien Tango!
Psst: Daniel Dos Santos also did the cover for that one. I don't know if you've been to Gini Koch's site but she's got it up in a couple places :D (www.ginikoch.com) that is if you're interested! :D
Oh I LOVE the Alien Tango cover as well. The blues are so incredible! Dos Santos is a cover artist god!! <3
Great review!
It was the cover that drew my attention to Touched by an Alien as well. and i'm so glad it did as it's an amazing and fun book!
I enjoyed the book as well. But it bothered me how clueless Kitty was about Paul's attitude problem. She had three different people all but spell it out for her, including her mom on several different occasions! But I guess it makes sense that since she's so smart with logic she'd be more clueless with what makes people tick. And the dialogue was hysterical in places. ^_^
I can't wait for more of Kitty's Converse, iPod and bottomless purse in Alien Tango. She thinks so fast on her feet that I know she'll keep me laughing and on the edge of my seat.
Okay, okay. I admit it. I also need to kiss Martini vicariously. I adore him.
The cover art SO captures the mood!
Sylvia, it's not beyond reason. I'm considered pretty clueless when it comes to emotional issues. I have to be TOLD afterwords by other people when some one was flirting with me. I have no emotional understanding of people or issues. Probably why I find the book so amusing.
