BlogFest 2010 will be running from now until Sunday the 12th at midnight. So make sure you get hopping along and enter the 200+ contests available!
On to the good stuff! As many of you know, I spent last weekend in Mesa, AZ at CopperCon, meeting some great authors, and I got you some awesome signed swag.
First up: a signed copy of Touched by an Alien by the incredible Gini Koch.
Then, we have two signed bookmarks, the first from Weston Ochse, dark fantasy author of the new Empire of Salt, and the second from dynamic brotherly duo writing team known as Dani and Eytan Kollin, authors of the Prometheus Award winning The Unincorporated Man.
I’m also throwing in two anthologies featuring short stories by some great Fantasy & Science Fiction writers!

Oh, gosh, any author? Anne McCaffrey, hands down. She inspired my love for reading, writing, and imagining. She opened the world to me, and made the wheels in my childhood mind spur like crazy. Her prose is phenomenal, and the depths of her imagination are astounding. How she can even begin to form an entire new world -- let alone an entire new planet with strange customs and societies -- and explain them in a scientifically plausible way... I can't even fathom how she does that. McCaffrey has my undying respect, as a fan and a writer.
I think I would die a little on the inside if I met her in person. I'd also be insanely intimidated to be in her presence and would probably pass out from nerves, and end up wasting my chance of meeting her. =x
