I went because I was super excited to get the chance to spend some time with author Gini Koch, and some great online girlfriends of mine. I was so stoked to be able to learn that one of my online girlfriends is literally my long lost twin. Miss you dear!!
Friday night started with some general hanging out, a panel by Gini, and lots of drinks! We got the chance to meet some of Gini’s other fans, and she gave us some incredible gifts for being there to support her.
Saturday was jam packed, starting with a panel on everything you could ever want to know about the best way to market your story. We were also given a sneak peak reading at Alien Tango by Gini, and I must say, I am super stoked for the next Kitty book. Oh Martini, I love you as much now as I did before. You rock my world. Plus the gators are so gonna rock the next book! I think there should be a link to part of Gini’s reading somewhere floating around the web… We were also allowed to see the sketch of the next Alien book in Gini’s series, and can I just say that Dan Dos Santos is an absolute GOD! When Gini can actually release it to the world, you MUST find it. Amazing…
The night continued with more food and drinking, a party at the pool, and all around awesomesauce. Sunday morning started with a bang, with a whole hour devoted to the amazing Malcolm Reynolds of Firefly. Because, really? Who doesn’t love that show?
I also was able to meet some other incredible authors there besides Gini. The amazing Lynn Crain hung out with us most of the weekend, and I must say, I love her! She was so fun, so sweet, and a great drinking buddy. Lynn, next time you’re in AZ let me know, I hear some Corona’s calling our name! Weston Ochse, dark fantasy author is incredibly hilarious, and I can’t wait for the chance to meet him again. Thankfully he lives close, and RinCon is coming up quickly! (Sorry again Weston for making fun of SV.) Prometheus Award winners Dani and Eytan Kollin were so great, signing a bookmark for me to give away! I can’t wait to get my hands on their book The Unincorporated Man. Although it is some pretty hard Sci-Fi, who wouldn’t want to check out the Prometheus Award winner?? Some other interesting people included Janeen O’Kerry, Marsheila Rockwell, and Emily Devenport.
On Monday I was forced to say goodbye to my girls, pack up all my goodies and head back home. I wouldn’t change a moment of it. My girls were amazing, the books I got sure to be incredible, and the swag never ending!

No, I haven't uploaded the reading yet. Not sure how I'm going to do it, if I can put it on Youtube or whatever. But I have it, or at least the first 40 minutes of it.

Winston's a great guy, isn't he? It's almost flattering that he thinks Nicole's really my daughter. I'll take it as a compliment (and hurt him at RinCon, when he's not looking...).
Many of the authors who were at CopperCon will also be at RinCon, so the next chance to see just how wild and crazy we all really are happens October 8-10 in Tucson!
CooperCon was a blast, made even better by the company! Finding my twin, priceless!! Miss you babe!!
